At PIPS we welcome children and families into our school. We believe that parents can and should play an important role in their child’s school life. To this end we have a number of opportunities for parents to volunteer or spend time with their child at school if their schedule permits. Some of the following are ways parents can get involved:

• Class Parent – each classroom has a class parent who helps the teachers organize class events, helps new families feel welcome in the school, acts as a resource for other parents in the class etc.
• Volunteer in the classroom to help with library time, cooking time, and to help with various jobs around the school.
• Join in family events including end of term class parties, the annual family outing.

Having parents involved in the day to day lives of their children at school has been a tradition at PIPS. This tradition is one we would like to keep. It helps build a strong relationship between home and school, a relationship that has helped make PIPS the school it is today.
